Format your Smartphone will return you to the state when your phone was first turned on. All your personal data will be erased including apps, games, call history, music, phones and more, so it is highly recommend that do backup of your personal data before resetting your device.
In this tutorial I will show you how you can format your windows 8.1 smartphones.

- Go to the App list and tap Settings.
- Tap About and then tap on Reset your phone.
- After that you will receive two warnings.
- Tap Yes to continue and then it will take 15-20 minutes to reset your phone ( Depends on your phone performance)
If you have unresponsive phone and can’t find Settings then you may be able to format your Smartphone form the following steps:
- Press and hold Volume Down – button and power on/off button at the same time until you phone vibrates.
- When you feel the vibration then immediately press and hold Volume down – button until you may see a large mark.
- Once this mark appears then press Volume up +, Volume Down -, Power On/off and Volume Down – buttons and then your phone will start resetting and restart itself.
